Celebrate reading together! On the first of February it's time for the International Storytelling Festival. Many international citizens of Amstelveen will gather together to read stories and enjoy children's theater. Will you join us?

From 12.00 to 17.00 o'clock beautiful stories will be told in every corner of the library in different languages:

At our main stage there will be several theatre shows:
11.00 | 🤡 Scratch Puppet theatre with Amstelveens Poppentheater (in English)
12.00 | 🎤 Storytelling by Mayor Tjapko Poppens! (in Dutch & sign language)
14.00 | 🎶 Show with music by Mama Coelia (in Dutch)
15.30 | 🦆 Theatre show by Ton Meijer (in Dutch)
During the festival you can also grab your chance to listen to other languages and meet people from different cultures.

We will build a city of Children's Books. A special place for you kids to discover during the day.
~~ THE JOY OF STORYTELLING ~~
Next to the fun it brings you and your children, storytelling is very important for the language development of kids. It doesn't matter which language you choose. Read together in the language you feel most comfortable with.
