Op zaterdag 18 januari 2020 is het Nationale Tulpendag. Op de Dam in Amsterdam leggen tulpenkwekers een gigantische pluktuin aan met zo’n 200.000 tulpen in verschillende kleuren.
Vanaf 13.00 uur mag iedereen gratis een bosje tulpen plukken (op=op). Zo wordt de start gevierd van een nieuw (snij)Tulpenseizoen.
Naar verwachting is de Dam rond 16.00 uur helemaal ‘leeggeplukt’.
De organisatie zorgt voor handige (biologisch afbreekbare) tasjes.
Gratis entree, tulpen worden gratis beschikbaar gesteld door de Nederlandse tulpenbroeiers.

On Saturday, January 18th, 2020 is National Tulip Day. Tulip growers are planting a gigantic garden at the Dam in Amsterdam with some 200,000 tulips in different colors.
From 13.00 hours everyone can pick a bunch of tulips for free. This is how we celebrate the start of a new (cutting) Tulip season.
It is expected that the Dam will be completely 'emptied' around 4 pm.
The organization provides handy (biodegradable) bags.
